The Jewish community of Buenos Aires dedicated a new orphanage building to the memory of Mrs. Perla Rohr.

Attendees described the event, which featured the children of the Ieladeinu orphanage singing verses from Psalms, as full of warmth and joy.

Mrs. Rohr's son, philanthropist Sami Rohr of Bal Harbour, Fla., affixed the mezuzah to the new building, dubbed Casa Perla Rohr.

Speaking after Rabbi Tzvi Grunblatt, director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Argentina – which administers the orphanage – Mrs. Rohr’s grandson, philanthropist George Rohr of New York, explained his family's dedication to Jews worldwide as rooted in the teachings of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory.

The Ieladeinu orphanage takes care of Argentina's Jewish orphans, ensuring that they receive love, in-depth psychological treatment, and proper Jewish and general educations.
