1The Lord has reigned, the earth will exult; many islands will rejoice. |

איְהֹוָ֣ה מָ֖לָךְ תָּגֵ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ יִ֜שְׂמְח֗וּ אִיִּ֥ים רַבִּֽים: |
The Lord has reigned. when He takes the kingdom from Amalek and from his descendants. |

ה' מלך.
בנטלו המלוכה מעמלק ומזרעו:
|
the earth will exult. This is what Ezekiel said (35:14): “When the whole earth rejoices, I shall make you desolate.” He prophesied this concerning Amalek. |

תגל הארץ.
זהו שאמר (יחזקאל ל״ה:י״ד) כשמוח כל הארץ שממה אעשה לך, על עמלק נתנבא כן:

2Cloud and thick darkness are around Him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His throne. |
|
בעָנָ֣ן וַֽעֲרָפֶ֣ל סְבִיבָ֑יו צֶ֥דֶק וּ֜מִשְׁפָּ֗ט מְכ֣וֹן כִּסְאֽוֹ: |
3Fire will go before Him and will burn His enemies all around. |

גאֵשׁ לְפָנָ֣יו תֵּלֵ֑ךְ וּתְ֜לַהֵ֗ט סָבִ֥יב צָרָֽיו: |
Fire will go before Him. in the war of Gog and Magog, for it is written concerning his war (Ezek. 38:22): “And I shall plead against him with pestilence and with blood, and rain bringing floods and great hailstones, fire and brimstone.” |

אש לפניו תלך.
במלחמת גוג ומגוג דכתיב במלחמתו (שם לח) ונשפטתי אתו בדבר ובדם וגשם שוטף ואבני אלגביש אש וגפרית:

4His lightnings illuminated the world; the earth saw and quaked. |

דהֵאִ֣ירוּ בְרָקָ֣יו תֵּבֵ֑ל רָֽאֲתָ֖ה וַתָּחֵ֣ל הָאָֽרֶץ: |
His lightnings. His brilliant lights, an expression of (Ezek. 21:15): “It is polished that it may glitter (ברק).” |

ברקיו.
זהרוריו, לשון למען היה לה ברק מורטה (יחזקאל כ״א:ט״ו):

and quaked. “Surely there will be a great earthquake on that day in the land of Israel. And at My presence, the fishes of the sea… will quake.” [The word] וַתָּחֵל is an expression of (above 48:7): “pangs (חיל) like [those of] a woman in confinement.” |

ותחל.
ביום ההוא יהיה רעש גדול על אדמת ישראל ורעשו מפניו דגי הים ותחל לשון חיל כיולדה (מיכה ד):

5Mountains melted like wax from before the Lord, from before the Master of all the earth. |

ההָרִ֗ים כַּדּוֹנַ֗ג נָ֖מַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה מִ֜לִּפְנֵ֗י אֲד֣וֹן כָּל־הָאָֽרֶץ: |
melted like wax. Heb. כדונג, as it is written (Ezek. 38:20): “and the mountains will be thrown down, and the cliffs will fall.” |

6The heavens told His righteousness, and all the earth saw His glory. |
|
והִגִּ֣ידוּ הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם צִדְק֑וֹ וְרָא֖וּ כָל־הָֽעַמִּ֣ים כְּבוֹדֽוֹ: |
7All worshippers of graven images will be ashamed, yea those who boast of idols; all gods, prostrate yourselves before Him. |

זיֵבֹ֚֗שׁוּ | כָּל־עֹ֥בְדֵי פֶ֗סֶל הַמִּתְהַלְלִ֥ים בָּֽאֱלִילִ֑ים הִשְׁתַּֽחֲווּ־ל֜֗וֹ כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים: |
All worshippers of graven images will be ashamed. as it is written (Isa. 2:18): “And the idols will completely pass away.” |

יבשו כל עובדי פסל.
דכתיב (ישעיהו ב׳:י״ח) והאלילים כליל יחלוף:

who boast. Who praise themselves with their worship. |

המתפארים לע"ג:

8Zion heard and rejoiced, and the daughters of Judah exulted, because of Your judgments, O Lord. |
|
חשָֽׁמְעָ֚ה וַתִּשְׂמַ֨ח | צִיּ֗וֹן וַ֖תָּגֵלְנָה בְּנ֣וֹת יְהוּדָ֑ה לְמַ֖עַן מִשְׁפָּטֶ֣יךָ יְהֹוָֽה: |
Your judgments. Your vengeance. |

משפטיך.
נקמתך:
|
9For You, O Lord, are Most High above all the earth; You are very much exalted above all gods. |
|
טכִּֽי־אַתָּ֚ה יְהֹוָ֗ה עֶלְי֥וֹן עַל־כָּל־הָאָ֑רֶץ מְאֹ֥ד נַֽ֜עֲלֵ֗יתָ עַל־כָּל־אֱלֹהִֽים: |
10You who love the Lord, hate evil; He watches the souls of His pious ones, He rescues them from the hands of the wicked. |
|
יאֹֽהֲבֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֗ה שִׂנְא֫וּ רָ֥ע שֹׁ֖מֵר נַפְשׁ֣וֹת חֲסִידָ֑יו מִיַּ֥ד רְ֜שָׁעִ֗ים יַצִּילֵֽם: |
11A light is sown for the righteous, and for the upright of heart, joy. |

יאא֖וֹר זָרֻ֣עַ לַצַּדִּ֑יק וּלְיִשְׁרֵי־לֵ֥ב שִׂמְחָֽה: |
A light is sown for the righteous. A real sowing is prepared to grow for them. |
|
אור זרוע לצדיק.
זריעה ממש מוכנת לצמוח להם:
|
12Rejoice, you righteous, with the Lord, and give thanks to His holy name. |
|
יבשִׂמְח֣וּ צַ֖דִּיקִים בַּֽיהֹוָ֑ה וְ֜הוֹד֗וּ לְזֵ֣כֶר קָדְשֽׁוֹ: |
