(FJC.ru) The Estonian Jewish Center in Tallinn, a Chabad-Lubavitch institution serving the country's capital, inaugurated its new mikvah in a ceremony replete with a communal feast and cultural program.
The dedication of the Mei Menachem Mikvah represented an important milestone in the revival of Jewish life in the former Soviet republic, as the country has been without a mikvah since World War II.
After the festivities, which included a film about the laws of family purity and a concert by two singers from Finland, participants toured the new mikvah facility.
Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum, a resident of S. Paul, Minn., and one of the world's leading mikvah authorities, supervised the ritual bath's construction, which was generously sponsored by the Bistritsky Family of New York.
