A terrorist shot and killed three Israeli security staff, including a border policeman, on Tuesday near the village of Har Adar, just outside of Jerusalem. A civilian was also seriously wounded in the attack. The terrorist was shot and killed by security forces.

The policeman killed in the attack was identified as Staff Sgt. Solomon Gabrieh, a 20-year-old resident of Be’er Yaakov, who joined the border police 18 months ago. He is survived by his parents and three siblings.

One of the security guards killed in the attack was identified as Youssef Ottman of Abu Ghosh.

Another 32-year-old man was seriously wounded and taken to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem neighborhood.

Before opening fire, the gunman was part of a group of workers who gathered in the early-morning hours at a back entrance to the village.
