Disc 40, Program 160
Event Date: 10 Shevat 5742 - February 03, 1982
We have just completed writing the first Sefer Torah for Jewish Unity, and are about to commence writing the second one. When we join the last letter of this scroll, Lamed, to the first letter of the next scroll, Bet, it creates the Hebrew word "Lev - heart." Torah is the heart of our people, and it unites us all. Through this Mitzvah, our brethren behind the Iron Curtain unite with us, as well. Besides buying a letter for oneself in one of these scrolls, every person should seek to influence others to do so. Having a letter in the Torah scroll protects the individual, and is a source of blessing in all areas of life. Through Jews around the world joining in this way, we will soon be led, together with all the Torah scrolls in the world, to the Holy Land. And there we will hear Torah’s deepest teachings from Moshiach, himself. |
