Chapter 150

1Hallelujah! Praise God in His holy place, praise Him in the firmament of His might.   אהַ֥לְלוּיָ֨הּ | הַֽלְלוּ־אֵ֥ל בְּקָדְשׁ֑וֹ הַֽ֜לְ֗לוּהוּ בִּרְקִ֥יעַ עֻזּֽוֹ:
2Praise Him with His mighty deeds, praise Him as befits His superb greatness.   בהַֽלְלוּהוּ בִּגְבֽוּרֹתָ֑יו הַֽ֜לְל֗וּהוּ כְּרֹ֣ב גֻּדְלֽוֹ:
3Praise Him with a shofar blast, praise Him with psaltery and lyre.   גהַֽלְלוּהוּ בְּתֵ֣קַע שׁוֹפָ֑ר הַֽ֜לְל֗וּהוּ בְּנֵ֣בֶל וְכִנּֽוֹר:
4Praise Him with timbrels and dance, praise Him with stringed instruments and flute.   דהַֽלְלוּהוּ בְתֹ֣ף וּמָח֑וֹל הַֽ֜לְל֗וּהוּ בְּמִנִּ֥ים וְעֻגָֽב:
with stringed instrument and flute. Heb. במנים ועגב. They are kinds of musical instruments.   במנים ועוגב.  מיני כלי שיר הם:
5Praise Him with resounding cymbals, praise Him with resonant cymbals.   ההַֽלְלוּהוּ בְּצִֽלְצְלֵי־שָׁ֑מַע הַֽ֜לְל֗וּהוּ בְּצִלְצְלֵ֥י תְרוּעָֽה:
with resounding cymbals. Heb. בצלצלי שמע, cymbals that let a sound be heard. שָׁמַע is a noun, like שֶׁמַע, with a “segol,” but because of the “ethnactha” [which denotes a pause], it is vowelized with a long “kamatz,” and therefore, its accent is above, under the “shin.”   בצלצלי שמע.  מצלתים המשמיעים קול שמע שם דבר הוא כמו שמע בסגול ומפני האתנחתא הוא נקוד קמץ גדול ולכך טעמו למעלה תחת השי"ן: סליק ספר תהלים:
6Let every soul praise God. Hallelujah!   וכֹּ֣ל הַ֖נְּשָׁמָה תְּהַלֵּ֥ל יָ֜֗הּ הַֽלְלוּיָֽהּ:
