| 1And the second lot came out to Simeon, to the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Judah. |

אוַיֵּצֵ֞א הַגּוֹרָ֚ל הַשֵּׁנִי֙ לְשִׁמְע֔וֹן לְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־שִׁמְע֖וֹן לְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָ֑ם וַֽיְהִי֙ נַֽחֲלָתָ֔ם בְּת֖וֹךְ נַֽחֲלַ֥ת בְּנֵֽי־יְהוּדָֽה: |
| And the second lot came out: i.e., second to that of Benjamin, for Benjamin’s lot was the first of the seven tribes whose messengers Joshua charged with: “And they shall divide it into seven parts,” for Judah and Joseph had already received their parts, as it is stated there: “Judah shall remain in his border on the south.” From here on, he proceeds to enumerate seven lots. |

וַיֵּצֵא הַגּוֹרָל הַשֵּׁנִי:
שֵׁנִי לְבִנְיָמִין, שֶׁגּוֹרָל בִּנְיָמִין הָיָה רִאשׁוֹן לְשִׁבְעָה הַשְּׁבָטִים שֶׁאָמַר יְהוֹשֻׁעַ לִשְׁלוּחָיו וְהִתְחַלְּקוּ אוֹתָהּ לְשִׁבְעָה חֲלָקִים, שֶׁכְּבָר נָטְלוּ יְהוּדָה וְיוֹסֵף, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר שָׁם (לעיל יח ה): יְהוּדָה יַעֲמֹד עַל גְּבוּלוֹ מִנֶּגֶב וְגוֹ', מִכָּאן וְאֵילָךְ מוֹנֶה וְהוֹלֵךְ ז' גּוֹרָלוֹת.

| 2And they had in their inheritance, Beer-sheba, and Sheba, and Moladah. |
|
בוַיְהִ֥י לָהֶ֖ם בְּנַֽחֲלָתָ֑ם בְּאֵֽר־שֶׁ֥בַע וְשֶׁ֖בַע וּמֽוֹלָדָֽה: |
| 3And Hazar-shual, and Balah, and Ezem. |
|
גוַֽחֲצַ֥ר שׁוּעָ֛ל וּבָלָ֖ה וָעָֽצֶם: |
| 4And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah. |
|
דוְאֶלְתּוֹלַ֥ד וּבְת֖וּל וְחָרְמָֽה: |
| 5And Ziklag, and Beth-hamarcaboth, and Hazar-susah. |
|
הוְצִֽקְלַ֥ג וּבֵֽית־הַמַּרְכָּב֖וֹת וַֽחֲצַ֥ר סוּסָֽה: |
| 6And Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages. |
|
ווּבֵ֥ית לְבָא֖וֹת וְשָֽׁרוּחֶ֑ן עָרִ֥ים שְׁלֽשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 7Ain, Rimmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages; |
|
זעַ֥יִן | רִמּ֖וֹן וָעֶ֣תֶר וְעָשָׁ֑ן עָרִ֥ים אַרְבַּ֖ע וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 8And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalath-beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the children of Simeon according to their families. |
|
חוְכָל־הַֽחֲצֵרִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֚ר סְבִיבוֹת֙ הֶֽעָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה עַד־בַּֽעֲלַ֥ת בְּאֵ֖ר רָ֣אמַת נֶ֑גֶב זֹ֗את נַֽחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־שִׁמְע֖וֹן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם: |
| 9Out of the lot of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them; therefore the children of Simeon inherited in the midst of their inheritance. |
|
טמֵחֶ֙בֶל֙ בְּנֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה נַֽחֲלַ֖ת בְּנֵ֣י שִׁמְע֑וֹן כִּֽי־הָיָ֞ה חֵ֚לֶק בְּנֵֽי־יְהוּדָה֙ רַ֣ב מֵהֶ֔ם וַיִּנְחֲל֥וּ בְנֵֽי־שִׁמְע֖וֹן בְּת֥וֹךְ נַֽחֲלָתָֽם: |
| too much for them: lit., more than they, more than was fit for them. |
|
רַב מֵהֶם:
מִן הָרָאוּי לָהֶם.
|
| 10And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families; and the border of their inheritance was to Sarid. |
|
יוַיַּ֙עַל֙ הַגּוֹרָ֣ל הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י לִבְנֵ֥י זְבוּלֻ֖ן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם וַיְהִ֛י גְּב֥וּל נַֽחֲלָתָ֖ם עַד־שָׂרִֽיד: |
| 11And their border went up to the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth, and reached the river that is before Jokneam; |
|
יאוְעָלָ֨ה גְבוּלָ֧ם | לַיָּ֛מָּה וּמַרְעֲלָ֖ה וּפָגַ֣ע בְּדַבָּ֑שֶׁת וּפָגַע֙ אֶל־הַנַּ֔חַל אֲשֶׁ֖ר עַל־פְּנֵ֥י יָקְנְעָֽם: |
| 12And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising on the border of Chisloth-tabor, and it went out to Dabrath, and went to Japhia; |
|
יבוְשָׁ֣ב מִשָּׂרִ֗יד קֵ֚דְמָה מִזְרַ֣ח הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ עַל־גְּב֥וּל כִּסְלֹ֖ת תָּבֹ֑ר וְיָצָ֥א אֶל־הַדָּֽבְרַ֖ת וְעָלָ֥ה יָפִֽיעַ: |
| Chisloth-tabor: I believe that this is an expression of “flanks” (כְּסִלִים), flancs in French [as in Lev. III:4], not at its peak, nor at its base, but on its slope near the middle, near the rear, but on the front side, as the flanks are situated in an animal. [Thus, we render: The Flanks of Mt. Tabor.] The place which the Scripture refers to as Aznoth-tabor, is near its peak, in the place of the ears (אָזְנַיִם). |

כִּסְלוֹת תָּבוֹר:
אוֹמֵר אֲנִי שֶׁהוּא לְשׁוֹן כְּסָלִים, פלנק"ש בְּלַעַז (צַלְעוֹת הַבְּהֵמָה), [כּמוֹ וַיִקְרָא ג'ד'] לֹא בְּגוֹבְהוֹ וְלֹא בְּשִׁפּוּלוֹ אֶלָּא בְּשִׁפּוּעוֹ וְסָמוּךְ לְאֶמְצָעוֹ קָרוֹב לְצַד אֲחוֹרַיִם, וּמִלְּצַד פָּנָיו, כְּדֶרֶךְ שֶׁהַכְּסָלִים עוֹמְדוֹת בַּבְּהֵמָה, וּבְמָקוֹם שֶׁהוּא אוֹמֵר (להלן פסוק לד) אָזְנוֹת תָּבוֹר, סָמוּךְ לְרֹאשׁוֹ הוּא, בִּמְקוֹם הָאָזְנַיִם.

| 13And from there it passed along on the east of Gath-hepher, to Ittah-kazzin, and it went out to Rimmon, and from there circled to Neah; |
|
יגוּמִשָּׁ֚ם עָבַר֙ קֵ֣דְמָה מִזְרָ֔חָה גִּתָּ֥ה חֵ֖פֶר עִתָּ֣ה קָצִ֑ין וְיָצָ֛א רִמּ֥וֹן הַמְּתֹאָ֖ר הַנֵּעָֽה: |
| on the east of Gath-hepher: To the east of Gath-hepher, the city of Jonah the son of Amittai. |
|
קֵדְמָה מִזְרָחָה גִּתָּה חֵפֶר:
מִמִּזְרָח לְגַת הַחֵפֶר, שֵׁם עִירוֹ שֶׁל יוֹנָה בֶּן אֲמִתַּי (מלכים ב יד כה).

| to 'Ittah Kazzin: The name of the city was Ittah kazzin [not 'Eth kazzin]. |
|
עִתָּה קָצִין:
שֵׁם הָעִיר עִתָּה קָצִין.
|
| and from these circled to Neah: lit., which circles to Neah, i.e., from there the border circled to Neah. Thus Jonathan rendered: And it went out to Rimmon, and from there circled to Neah. |
|
הַמְּתֹאָר הַנֵּעָה:
הַמּוּסָב עַל נֵעָה, כְּלוֹמַר מִשָּׁם תָּאַר הַגְּבוּל לְנֵעָה, וְכֵן תִּרְגֵּם יוֹנָתָן: וְנָפֵיק לְרִמּוֹן וּמִתַּמָּן מִסְתְּחָר לְנֵעָה.

| 14And the border about it on the north side of Hannathon; and its outgoings were in the valley of Jiphthah-el; |
|
ידוְנָסַ֚ב אֹתוֹ֙ הַגְּב֔וּל מִצָּפ֖וֹן חַנָּתֹ֑ן וְהָיוּ֙ תֹּֽצְאֹתָ֔יו גֵּ֖י יִפְתַּח־אֵֽל: |
| 15And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Beth-lehem; twelve cities with their villages. |
|
טווְקַטָּ֚ת וְנַֽהֲלָל֙ וְשִׁמְר֔וֹן וְיִדְאֲלָ֖ה וּבֵ֣ית לָ֑חֶם עָרִ֥ים שְׁתֵּֽים־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 16This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages. |
|
טזזֹ֛את נַֽחֲלַ֥ת בְּנֵֽי־זְבוּלֻ֖ן לְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָ֑ם הֶֽעָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 17The fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families. |
|
יזלְיִ֨שָּׂשכָ֔ר יָצָ֖א הַגּוֹרָ֣ל הָֽרְבִיעִ֑י לִבְנֵ֥י יִשָּׂשכָ֖ר לְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָֽם: |
| 18And their border was Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem, |
|
יחוַיְהִ֖י גְּבוּלָ֑ם יִזְרְעֶ֥אלָה וְהַכְּסוּל֖וֹת וְשׁוּנֵֽם: |
| 19And Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath. |
|
יטוַֽחֲפָרַ֥יִם וְשִׁיא֖וֹן וַֽאֲנָֽחֲרָֽת: |
| 20And Rabbith, and Kishion, and Ebez, |
|
כוְהָֽרַבִּ֥ית וְקִשְׁי֖וֹן וָאָֽבֶץ: |
| 21And Remeth, and En-gannim, and En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez; |
|
כאוְרֶ֧מֶת וְעֵֽין־גַּנִּ֛ים וְעֵ֥ין חַדָּ֖ה וּבֵ֥ית פַּצֵּֽץ: |
| 22And the border met in Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Beth-shemesh; and the outgoings of their border were at Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages. |
|
כבוּפָגַע֩ הַגְּב֨וּל בְּתָב֚וֹר וְשַֽׁחֲצִ֙ימָה֙ (כתיב וְשַֽׁחֲצִ֙ומָה֙) וּבֵ֣ית שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ וְהָי֛וּ תֹּֽצְא֥וֹת גְּבוּלָ֖ם הַיַּרְדֵּ֑ן עָרִ֥ים שֵֽׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 23This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages. |
|
כגזֹ֗את נַֽחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־יִשָּׂשכָ֖ר לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם הֶֽעָרִ֖ים וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 24And the fifth lot went out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families. |
|
כדוַיֵצֵא֙ הַגּוֹרָ֣ל הַֽחֲמִישִׁ֔י לְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־אָשֵׁ֖ר לְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתָֽם: |
| 25And their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph. |
|
כהוַיְהִ֖י גְּבוּלָ֑ם חֶלְקַ֥ת וַֽחֲלִ֖י וָבֶ֥טֶן וְאַכְשָֽׁף: |
| 26And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal; and it met in Carmel westward, and in Shihor-libnath; |
|
כווְאַֽלַמֶּ֥לֶךְ וְעַמְעָ֖ד וּמִשְׁאָ֑ל וּפָגַ֚ע בְּכַרְמֶל֙ הַיָּ֔מָּה וּבְשִׁיח֖וֹר לִבְנָֽת: |
| 27And it turned toward the sunrising to Beth-dagon, and met in Zebulun, and in the valley of Jiphtah-el toward the north side of Beth-emek, and Neiel, and it went out to Cabul on the left, |

כזוְשָׁ֨ב מִזְרַ֣ח הַשֶּׁ֘מֶשׁ֘ בֵּ֣ית דָּגֹן֒ וּפָגַ֣ע בִּ֠זְבֻל֠וּן וּבְגֵ֨י יִפְתַּח־אֵ֥ל צָפ֛וֹנָה בֵּ֥ית הָעֵ֖מֶק וּנְעִיאֵ֑ל וְיָצָ֥א אֶל־כָּב֖וּל מִשְּׂמֹֽאל: |
| 28And Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, to great Zidon; |
|
כחוְעֶבְרֹ֥ן וּרְחֹ֖ב וְחַמּ֣וֹן וְקָנָ֑ה עַ֖ד צִיד֥וֹן רַבָּֽה: |
| 29And the border turned to Ramah, and to the fortress city of the rock; and the border turned to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof were to the sea from the lot of Achzib. |

כטוְשָׁ֚ב הַגְּבוּל֙ הָֽרָמָ֔ה וְעַד־עִ֖יר מִבְצַר־צֹ֑ר וְשָׁ֚ב הַגְּבוּל֙ חֹסָ֔ה וְהָי֧וּ (כתיב וְיהָי֧וּ) תֹֽצְאֹתָ֛יו הַיָּ֖מָּה מֵחֵ֥בֶל אַכְזִֽיבָה: |
| to the fortress city of the rock: fortified cities, strong cities. |

מִבְצַר צֹר:
(תַּרְגּוּם:) קִרְוִין כְּרִיכָן קִרְוֵי תּוּקְפָא.

| 30Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob; twenty-two cities with their villages. |

לוְעֻמָ֥ה וַֽאֲפֵ֖ק וּרְחֹ֑ב עָרִ֛ים עֶשְׂרִ֥ים וּשְׁתַּ֖יִם וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages. |
|
לאזֹ֗את נַֽחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־אָשֵׁ֖ר לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם הֶעָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 32The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, for the children of Naphtali according to their families. |
|
לבלִבְנֵ֣י נַפְתָּלִ֔י יָצָ֖א הַגּוֹרָ֣ל הַשִּׁשִּׁ֑י לִבְנֵ֥י נַפְתָּלִ֖י לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָֽם: |
| 33And their border was from Heleph, from Elon-bezaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, to Lakum; and its outgoings were at the Jordan; |
|
לגוַיְהִ֣י גְבוּלָם֩ מֵחֵ֨לֶף מֵֽאֵל֜וֹן בְּצַֽעֲנַנִּ֗ים וַֽאֲדָמִ֥י הַנֶּ֛קֶב וְיַבְנְאֵ֖ל עַד־לַקּ֑וּם וַיְהִ֥י תֹֽצְאֹתָ֖יו הַיַּרְדֵּֽן: |
| 34And the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok, and met in Zebulun on the south, and met in Asher on the west, and in Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrising. |

לדוְשָׁ֨ב הַגְּב֥וּל יָ֙מָּה֙ אַזְנ֣וֹת תָּב֔וֹר וְיָצָ֥א מִשָּׁ֖ם חֻקֹ֑קָה וּפָגַ֨ע בִּזְבֻל֜וּן מִנֶּ֗גֶב וּבְאָשֵׁר֙ פָּגַ֣ע מִיָּ֔ם וּבִ֣יהוּדָ֔ה הַיַּרְדֵּ֖ן מִזְרַ֥ח הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ: |
| 35And the fortress cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth. |
|
להוְעָרֵ֖י מִבְצָ֑ר הַצִּדִּ֣ים צֵ֔ר וְחַמַּ֖ת רַקַּ֥ת וְכִנָּֽרֶת: |
| And the fortress cities: which belonged to Naphtali were: Ziddim, Zer, etc. |
|
וְעָרֵי מִבְצָר:
הָיוּ לְנַפְתָּלִי הַצִּדִּים צֵר.
|
| 36And Adamah, and Haramah, and Hazor. |
|
לווַֽאֲדָמָ֥ה וְהָֽרָמָ֖ה וְחָצֽוֹר: |
| 37And Kedesh, and Edrei, and En-hazor. |
|
לזוְקֶ֥דֶשׁ וְאֶדְרֶ֖עִי וְעֵ֥ין חָצֽוֹר: |
| 38And Iron, and Migdal-el, Horem, and Beth-'anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages. |
|
לחוְיִרְאוֹן֙ וּמִגְדַּל־אֵ֔ל חֳרֵ֥ם וּבֵֽית־עֲנָ֖ת וּבֵ֣ית שָׁ֑מֶשׁ עָרִ֥ים תְּשַֽׁע־עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 39This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages. |
|
לטזֹ֗את נַֽחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵֽי־נַפְתָּלִ֖י לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם הֶֽעָרִ֖ים וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 40And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families. |
|
מלְמַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵי־דָ֖ן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם יָצָ֖א הַגּוֹרָ֥ל הַשְּׁבִיעִֽי: |
| 41And the border of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and 'Ir-shemesh, |
|
מאוַיְהִ֖י גְּב֣וּל נַֽחֲלָתָ֑ם צָרְעָ֥ה וְאֶשְׁתָּא֖וֹל וְעִ֥יר שָֽׁמֶשׁ: |
| Zorah, and Eshtaol: They belonged to Judah, and the lot of the children of Dan fell adjacent to them. |
|
צָרְעָה וְאֶשְׁתָּאוֹל:
מִשֶּׁל יְהוּדָה הָיָה (לעיל טו לג), וְנָפַל גּוֹרָל בְּנֵי דָּן סָמוּךְ לָהֶם.

| 42And Shaalbin, and Ajalon, and Ithlah. |
|
מבוְשַֽׁעֲלַבִּ֥ין וְאַיָּל֖וֹן וְיִתְלָֽה: |
| 43And Elon, and Thimnathah, and 'Ekron, |
|
מגוְאֵיל֥וֹן וְתִמְנָ֖תָה וְעֶקְרֽוֹן: |
| 44And Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath, |
|
מדוְאֶלְתְּקֵ֥ה וְגִבְּת֖וֹן וּבַֽעֲלָֽת: |
| 45And Jehud, and Bene-berak, and Gath-rimmon, |
|
מהוִיהֻ֥ד וּבְנֵֽי־בְרַ֖ק וְגַת־רִמּֽוֹן: |
| 46And Me-Jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border opposite Joppa. |
|
מווּמֵ֥י הַיַּרְק֖וֹן וְהָֽרַקּ֑וֹן עִֽם־הַגְּב֖וּל מ֥וּל יָפֽוֹ: |
| 47And the border of the children of Dan went out from them; and the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt in it, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. |

מזוַיֵּצֵ֛א גְבוּל־בְּנֵי־דָ֖ן מֵהֶ֑ם וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ בְנֵי־דָ֠ן וַיִּלָּֽחֲמ֨וּ עִם־לֶ֜שֶׁם וַיִּלְכְּד֥וּ אוֹתָ֣הּ | וַיַּכּ֧וּ אוֹתָ֣הּ לְפִי־חֶ֗רֶב וַיִּֽרְשׁ֚וּ אוֹתָהּ֙ וַיֵּ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֔הּ וַיִּקְרְא֚וּ לְלֶ֙שֶׁם֙ דָּ֔ן כְּשֵׁ֖ם דָּ֥ן אֲבִיהֶֽם: |
| And the border of the children of Dan went out from them: The children of Dan took part [of their inheritance] here, and they also received a lot elsewhere far from their border, with the other tribes intervening between them. |
|
וַיֵּצֵא גְּבוּל בְּנֵי־דָן־מֵהֶם:
כָּאן נָטְלוּ קְצָת וְעוֹד נָפַל לָהֶם גּוֹרָל בְּמָקוֹם אַחֵר רָחוֹק מִגְּבוּלָם, וּשְׁאָר שְׁבָטִים מַפְסִיקִין בֵּינְתַיִם.

| and fought against Leshem: at a later time, in the days of Othniel the son of Kenaz and in the days of Micah’s graven image, as is stated in the book of Judges. |
|
וַיִּלָּחֲמוּ עִם לֶשֶׁם:
לְאַחַר זְמַן בִּימֵי עָתְנִיאֵל בֶּן קְנַז, וּבִימֵי פֶּסֶל מִיכָה, כְּמָה שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בְּסֵפֶר שׁוֹפְטִים (יח ב).

מחזֹ֗את נַֽחֲלַ֛ת מַטֵּ֥ה בְנֵי־דָ֖ן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֑ם הֶֽעָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה וְחַצְרֵיהֶֽן: |
| 49And they made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by its borders; the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them. |

מטוַיְכַלּ֛וּ לִנְחֹ֥ל אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ לִגְבֽוּלֹתֶ֑יהָ וַיִּתְּנ֨וּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל נַֽחֲלָ֛ה לִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ בִּן־נ֖וּן בְּתוֹכָֽם: |
| 50According to the word of the Lord they gave him the city which he asked, Timnath-serah in Mount Ephraim; and he built the city and dwelt in it. |

נעַל־פִּ֨י יְהֹוָ֜ה נָ֣תְנוּ ל֗וֹ אֶת־הָעִיר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁאָ֔ל אֶת־תִּמְנַת־סֶ֖רַח בְּהַ֣ר אֶפְרָ֑יִם וַיִּבְנֶ֥ה אֶת־הָעִ֖יר וַיֵּ֥שֶׁב בָּֽהּ: |
| 51These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the (houses of) the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the Lord, at the entrance of the tent of meeting. And they made an end of dividing the land. |

נאאֵ֣לֶּה הַנְּחָלֹ֡ת אֲשֶׁר־נִֽחֲל֣וּ אֶלְעָזָ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֣ן | וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בִּן־נ֠֩וּן וְרָאשֵׁ֣י הָֽאָב֣וֹת לְמַטּוֹת֩ בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל | בְּגוֹרָ֚ל | בְּשִׁלֹה֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה פֶּ֖תַח אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד וַיְכַלּ֕וּ מֵֽחַלֵּ֖ק אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ: |
