Chabad.org deeply mourns the passing of Henya Federman, of blessed memory, devoted mother, wife, and shluchah to the Virgin Islands.
Together with her husband, Rabbi Asher, she established the Chabad House on St. Thomas in 2005, serving thousands of Jewish locals and tourists for more than 18 years. She left a deep impression on everyone she came in contact with, inspiring people from all walks of life to increase their connection to G‑d and spread goodness and kindness across the globe. Her influence will continue for generations to come.
Along with countless others around the world, we send our heartfelt condolences to her husband, children, parents, siblings and the entire Shmotkin-Federman family.
And at Chabad.org, we feel this most closely regarding her brother, Rabbi Zalman Shmotkin, Chabad.org’s executive director.
