Can We Make a Difference?

I believe we are in a quite precarious place. To the best of my understanding both leaders were born Jewish, whether Zelenskyy or Putin. I have reluctance to support Zelenskyys campaign to join NATO, EU and so on. I do not see the value in what the west brings to the table, when we look to Torah, and we look to the west we see contradiction to the values to the Torah. I never would have thought to see a Jew with a Nazi battalion in his army, the (Azov battalion). Zelenskyy has been caught in many lies already in just one week. whether it be Snake Island, ghost of Kiev, Holocaust Memorial... etc. However I do not see Putin as a saint either, and would like this to be able to be settled without war, but as the prophets say, its going to get worse before it gets better. I think the least destructive path is that Zelenskyy surrender, withdraw his NATO and EU applications, where we can keep Ukraine neutral. If we should pray for either side, I would say to the common man who suffer for this Reply

So, I really do not understand why our people chose to remain in the Ukraine which historically and with the agitation of the Russian royal family launched brutal programs against our people. My ancestors were from Odessa and were butchered and ironically had a large wholesale butcher business taken from them cumulating in my grandfather being taken to and left alone here at the age of 14 by his older sister who was a doctor which was very unusual at that time. She for some unknown reason went back. Presumably given everything that happened from that point 1923 through 1945 and that she had a triple stigma (Jewish, woman and doctor) her life was most likely cut short prematurely in any one of a number of gruesome ways. My friends who were also raised conservative and I have deep resentments against a number of these countries I Russia and its satellite countries and Poland and my friends Germany that no amount of reparations will cure.
