He spent long hours hunched over flickering screens, fielding questions and posting on message boards. Even before the invention of the World Wide Web, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Kazen, known as YY, envisioned a world where Jewish teachings, inspiration and information would be available everywhere.
He passed away in 1998 at the age of 44, after a decade of building the Jewish internet, but his vision lives on in Chabad.org and the millions of mitzvahs performed as a result of his groundbreaking work.
