Staci, this video is specifically directed at those who ask the question "What can I do?" This includes those who can't join the army for whatever reason, or live so far away as to feel unable to contribute in any way. Yes, physical measures must be undertaken, but that isn't possible for everyone.

What is possible for everyone, and what does help, is to strengthen our commitment and connection to G-d and Judaism.

Humanity is granted phenomenal power by G-d, and though some of it is physical, it would be an egregious mistake to ignore our spiritual capabilities. Reply

I can create a PDF, but have no idea how to (or time and inclination to learn) insert it in the wall-board in my Jewish Center. Give me an email address to send the pdf file to and I will do that. Reply

It brought tears to my eyes. I thought immediately to share this with my family - one of whom is a chabad member and my grandchild will be barmitzvahed by chabad. This gives me so much chizuk. I put psalms on my daily facebook and words of Torah. Reply

I have had very good interactions and experiences with Chabad. However these videoes instructing us to pray and light candle and put on tefillin are not going to stop the attacks. WHile they are comforting and can not hurt. we must not be martyrs one again. You show footage of Israeli soldiers and police. Chasidim must join the fight. Join the army Carry arms defend youorselves and your neighbors Reply

The one true power that can stop the attacks, the fight behind every person - soldier or not - is G-d. What better way to reach him, to fight for our security, than to put on our tefillin, light the candles, and be his children. Reply

I know this is a few years late and you might not see this ;) But, for anyone else out there reading the comments:
Firstly, like Avraham said, (who wrote later in the comments) "This video is specifically directed at those who ask the question "What can I do?" This includes those who can't join the army for whatever reason or live so far away as to feel unable to contribute in any way. Yes, physical measures must be undertaken, but that isn't possible for everyone."
Secondly, there are Chassidic Jews that are in the IDF. Actually many. As a matter of fact, I have a few relatives (that are religiously observant and Chassidic) that are in the IDF.
Also, some Chassidim are helping Jews spiritually (Teachers, Rabbis, Shluchim etc.) , and some physically (Doctors, American soldiers, IDF etc).

And yes, you are right, everyone has to do their part for helping anyone and of course, a fellow Jew. Reply
