אהַֽלְלוּיָ֨הּ | הַֽ֖לְלוּ עַבְדֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה הַֽ֜לְלוּ אֶת־שֵׁ֥ם יְהֹוָֽה: |
| 2May the name of the Lord be blessed from now and to eternity. |

ביְהִ֚י שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֣ה מְבֹרָ֑ךְ מֵֽ֜עַתָּ֗ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם: |
| 3From the rising of the sun until its setting, the name of the Lord is praised. |
|
גמִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁ֥מֶשׁ עַד־מְבוֹא֑וֹ מְ֜הֻלָּ֗ל שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָֽה: |
| 4The Lord is high over all nations; upon the heavens is His glory. |
|
דרָ֖ם עַל־כָּל־גּוֹיִ֥ם | יְהֹוָ֑ה עַ֖ל הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם כְּבוֹדֽוֹ: |
| 5Who is like the Lord, our God, Who dwells on high, |
|
המִי כַּֽיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ הַמַּגְבִּיהִ֥י לָשָֽׁבֶת: |
| Who is like the Lord, our God in heaven and earth, who dwells on high and lowers His eyes to see? מושיבי, להושיבי, מקימי, משפילי, מגביהי, all have a superfluous “yud.” |

מי כה' אלהינו
בשמים ובארץ שהוא מגביהי לשבת ומשפיל לראות, מגביהי משפילי מקימי להושיבי מושיבי כלם יו"ד יתירה בהם:

| 6Who lowers [His eyes] to look in the heavens and the earth? |
|
והַמַּשְׁפִּילִ֥י לִרְא֑וֹת בַּשָּׁמַ֥יִם וּבָאָֽרֶץ: |
| 7He lifts the pauper up from the dust, from the dungheap He raises up the needy, |
|
זמְקִימִ֣י מֵֽעָפָ֣ר דָּ֑ל מֵֽ֜אַשְׁפֹּ֗ת יָרִ֥ים אֶבְיֽוֹן: |
| 8To seat [him] with princes, with the princes of His people. |
|
חלְהֽוֹשִׁיבִ֥י עִם־נְדִיבִ֑ים עִ֜֗ם נְדִיבֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹ: |
| 9He seats the barren woman of the house as a happy mother of children. Hallelujah! |
|
טמֽוֹשִׁיבִ֨י | עֲקֶ֬רֶת הַבַּ֗יִת אֵֽם־הַבָּנִ֥ים שְׂמֵחָ֗ה הַֽלְלוּיָֽהּ: |
| the barren woman of the house Zion, which is like a barren womanHe will seat her. |

עקרת הבית
ציון שהיא כעקרה יושיבנה:
|
| as a happy mother of children (Isa. 66:8): “that Zion both experienced birth pangs and bore her children.” |
|
אם הבנים שמחה
כי חלה גם ילדה ציון את בניה, (ישעיהו ס״ו:ח׳):
